Beautiful chromed out 400EX 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Up for sale is my ADULT OWNED, 2002 Honda 400EX with a professionally installed 460 Stroker kit. This quad was purchased NEW by me in 2002 from Maxey’s cycles in OKC and has been adult owned and ridden all its life. It is meticulously cared for, well maintained and in perfect condition. It is ready to ride, right now and needs absolutely nothing to go enjoy. I don’t believe you will find an nicer, more well balance quad out there today. It is a joy to ride and the suspension is first rate! All engine work was done by a professional and was broken in properly prior to being put into service. The transmission shows virtually no wear. This bike has NEVER been wrecked. All parts that have been replaced have simply been upgrades, never due to abuse or accidents. The frame is straight and true and never been welded on, cracked or bent. This bike has lived it’s life for the past two years doing noting but “cruising” around in our private neighborhood on pavement and has been offroad very little in that time. Most of the “off road time” has been on the sand at Little Sahara in Waynoka Oklahoma.

All suspension components have been upgraded to include:
Chrome Lonestar +1 A-Arms
Billet Front Hubs – Honda Bolt Pattern
Chrome Lonestar +1 Swing arm
Chrome Lonestar Excalibur width adjustable axle
Lonestar Billet bearing carrier with Grease Zerks
Lonestar Billet Axle Locknut
Lonestar Billet Rear Axle hubs – Honda Bolt Pattern
Complete set of Elka DUNER series triple rate shocks with remote reservoirs and adjustable valves
Chrome Lonestar steering stem
Lonestar Steering Linkages with OEM Honda ball joints

Controls:
Chrome Renthal Handlebars
OEM Honda brake reservoir
Upgraded stainless steel braided brake lines
Moose racing dual thumb/twist throttle with twist lockout (not pictured in photos)
Upgraded grips
OEM Honda electrical control box and harness
4x ultra-bright Billet aluminum “bullet” lights on a custom polished aluminum mount
Upgraded clutch and brake actuators (fly)
Upgraded billet aluminum brake pedal
Upgraded billet aluminum shifter
Pro Armor Nerf’s with good webbing
Upgraded billet aluminum wheels sporting practically new Maxxis RAZR’s on all four corners.
Bike will include a set of ITP Sand Star paddle tires in billet aluminum machined wheels, and a set of shark fin front sand tires on Douglas black-label aluminum wheels. Everything you need to have fun on the sand!

Engine has been professionally upgraded with a 460 Stroker kit by Hot Rods, using a CP 11.5:1 piston, allowing the use of 91 octane street gasoline or 100 octane racing fuel. Hotcams stage two cam has been professionally installed and valves are adjusted on an as needed basis.
Oil changes are performed after every extended ride, or once a month depending on how many hours are put on the bike. I only use Excell or Bell high performance oils and K&N or OEM Honda oil filters. There are no stripped bolts/nuts anywhere on the bike, including the engine.
Bike features an FCR 36m slider carb upgrade for better performance and great horsepower and has been properly jetted on a DynoJets dyno at least once a year. Bike will include a complete set of jets. The bike sports an all aluminum airbox and K&M filter, which is cleaned regularly. New throttle cable installed this year. A new plug is installed every year as well. The engine runs strong and flawlessly. Exhaust system is a Curtis Sparks X6 and includes the exhaust header AS WELL AS the muffler itself. Bike was dyno-tested exactly as it sits right now and generates 49hp!!!

As you can see, this bike has been upgraded in all the right places and makes for a safer, faster, better handling quad than just about any other 400EX out there without sacrificing the reliability of the legendary 400ex.

The bike is being sold because I am getting older and my interests have moved elsewhere. If you have questions or would like specific photos, please let me know. I am happy to accomodate!

There are a bunch of other little "add-ons" that I am sure I am missing - feel free to ask questions!

asking $4500, will entertain reasonable offers. I have over $20,000 invested in this bike.
