Sand was dry and loose and smooth in most areas. Slight wind was great in keeping it that way. Saw about a dozen buggies and rails. I spent most the day picking up bottles and cans. Lots of fall wildflowers in bloom. A great day for riding.

Hello. Here's a landmark that's hard to find with leaves on the trees. I always wondered if it was put there for someone who was killed while riding the dunes. It is something to look for and think about when riding.

Hello. They are 26" Mudlites XTR. They work just fine in the sand. The guys I know in Utah that ride in the sand say they switch the tires around so the lugs face the other way and act like paddles. I haven't found it necessary at Waynoka. By the way 25" would have worked just fine and the stock rims would have put the tires in under the fenders. They worked great out in mountains last month.

Here is what the sand looks like after a strong wind that first blows in one direction then changes and blows from the opposite direction with no rain or snow. Many times in the winter this happens and I am the only one out there.
