I need a camping spot for snakehunt.

anyone have reservations they will not use? I would love them.

we go every year for sandfest and snakehunt. after a rough sandfest last fall (several tickets and some jail time - still unjustified IMO) we did not make reservations. but time heals all wounds and we're ready to go now. just can't find a camping spot!

HELP PLEASE!

Good luck with that! Last I checked there were only 4 spots available at LSPS. Give it time and someone will post one for the taking. Be prepared to pay at least a $100 a night tho.

those 4 spots at lsps only appear to be available because the web site doesn't work properly.

i was just hoping someone would have a change of plans and need to get rid of their spot!

i'd hate to miss it this year!

Check the private camps we go every year with no res never had a probelm.The sand rat is low class but i always end up there

There will always be spots available, however you may be forced to travel further north. We stayed at Deuces wild last year. It is a nice camp ground and the hosts are very kind people. As a last resort you can stay in the overflow park in town. Personally, staying in these north locations is just not the same as being in the south campground. We've always referred to the south campground as the "heart and soul" of snake hunt (actually our favorite memories of Snake Hunt will always be the wild days of camping on the north road to Cowboy Camp. We all know that will never happen again). Our group was so tired of missing out on a south campground spot that we booked our camping sites in LSPS last May. Looking forward to the experience.

i've checked all the private campgrounds on the north end too. no luck.

our plan is to show up late wed night (usually 1 - 2 am) and crash wherever. then thurs morn get up early and hit all the campgrounds in person and hope someone will say yes.

but it would still be nice for someone to say "i don't need my spot at sand city - - take it!" i've camped at both the north and south, and south is definitely where the party (and cops) are at.
